I don't use Vortex scopes myself but it's a pretty good warranty and not once have I heard of them not honouring it. I've got some vortex binoculars I'm thinking of getting replaced...don't seem to be as good as the day I got them. Might as well right?

Exactly right on the replacement. I like to think the Vortex are the best of the cheap scopes, for those not yet ready to make the jump over $2K for a scope. Don't think I would want one to take into battle but for casual use they are great.
I'm actually thinking Santa may bring me a set of High Power Image Stabilized Binocs for Xmas. Have been looking into them a bit as well, not Vortex though. Canon or Sig seems likely choices.
