I agree, it's a cursory reply and one that is common and which I also give. I guess I don't like to burden others and sometimes that can happen if people are forthright. Having said that, it can often be healthy to share the burden, to vent or pour out one's troubles, something men (in particular) are not good at, hence concepts like the R U OK things we have here. https://www.ruok.org.au/
It's rare my partner comes to the range, we shoot elsewhere together privately which is where most of her training has taken place but sometimes she comes and unleashes on the poor unsuspecting fuckers who think girls can't shoot. It's hilarious.
LOL. I think that in this day and age, it is foolish to underestimate any woman doing any sort of activity.
Usually that just turns out to be embarrassing.
Remember that saying, anything a man can do a woman can do better? What a load of fucken bullshit.
Having said that, I know so many capable women, some I work with, some are relatives or friends, adversaries, randoms and others...one is my partner who is one of the most capable and special women I know. So maybe they can't do anything or everything better than a man, but they're worth celebrating right?
The saying I like is: Only the Sith deal in absolutes.
At the gun range I am sure that there are far more men than there are women. There are also probably far more competent men than there are women. Probably but not necessarily.
Generally speaking, it is foolish look at that fact and then get confused by thinking that there arent any women who are better than some men at the gun range.
Because those are two sets of information that are different. People get confused by averages and individuals.
And it goes vice versa. There are some things that women are generally better at then men, but that does not mean that there aren't men who are also good at that thing. To underestimate individuals because of group averages is stupid.
I'd be a good Sith I reckon. Seriously.
Maybe I actually am and will do a post on it someday. 😶
LOL. You are going to need to define that.
I know Sith look cool, but I don't think they are a balanced in the head sort...
Yeah, I'll fit right in.
