Whenever there is a good possibility to chase some northern lights... You bet that I am out there and doing my best. The power of particles against our atmosphere was quite strong so it was a reason enough to try and capture something. There was only one problem... we had quite a lot of clouds outside.
I went outside a couple of times in hopes that I would see something. Those first pictures are taken more as test shots, to see if it even makes sense to drive somewhere.
As you can see, the greens were visible but a large part was covered in clouds.
Later in the night, some clouds seemed to clear up and activity was still on the high side. I decided to drive to the beach and see what I can see.
Unfortunately, there were still clouds but I was able to capture something when a cloud-free spot came over or even through the little holes through the clouds.
Some red colors were also out there.
Now we are entering into the period when most days are cloudy. Let's hope that I will get some more great opportunities to capture the lights in the sky.
It really is quite amazing that the sky has so many colors like that. Even with some cloud cover it is still wonderful.
Yeah. Right now, a crazy solar storm is going on but our sky is fully overcast, uhhh. If I was able to then I bet I could see strong lights in every direction at the moment.
Try try again, till you succeed, you finally captured this beautiful view beside clouds.
It was a half-success. I saw something at least.
I wanted to disperse these clouds with my hand, looking at your photos :) It is clear that there was incredible beauty in the sky, even with the clouds it turned out nice. I remember a few days when I was also trying to catch the aurora, and it was so frustrating when the clouds came and all the sky was completely covered.
Yeahh, the struggle. A couple of days later after this one. Another very strong solar storm happened. Again, it was cloudy but at times got clearer, saw some amazing over head action. Even got some colors through the clouds since the aurora was so strong.
Oh yeah. I'll be waiting to see it!

I like those colours! I took some photos of the Northern Lights only once, while visiting North Norway, also the sky was mostly covered with clouds, but in spite of everything I've enjoyed a lot, I bet you as well :)
It's always an enjoyable sight. I haven't seen anything for a couple of months now. Hope to hunt some down in the coming months if the clouds are forgiving enough.
