I am working on a longer, more in-depth post on an unrelated subject, but these videos from Paul Harrell are substituting for my usual podcast background listening. This three-part series is more discussion than range footage and chart breakdowns, and I like the practical examples he offers to accompany his tips. He also strikes me as having the right blend of authentic knowledge, authority, and humility.
I'll decline payout on this post, because the main content isn't my own. If you really think it warrants something, I like $PIZZA & $BEER tokens. Better still, let's discuss these videos in the comments! Real engagement is worth a lot more to me than mere upvotes.
Thanks for sharing this...My Sunday (tomorrow) afternoon watching. ✅
Nothing wrong with earning from linking or embedding videos. That was pretty much the original idea of this.
The rules ask you to post original content. I'm fine with external links occasionally, but would hate for this community to become a list of reposts and external links.
He wrote about the videos he was sharing which is original enough for me to call it original, but it's not my community at the same time. I was more talking about on Hive in general, linking is fine, not thinking about The Pew community guidelines.
Personally, I don't feel comfortable earning on content I did not create. If I embed an image or video as part of my content, that's one thing, but if I just add a paragraph on top of three YouTube links like this, a payout feels dishonest to me.
