A few years ago I had the opportunity to visit the Kirkham Hot Springs in Kirkham, Idaho during my winter break, and I was blown away by the natural beauty of the area. The hot springs are surrounded by snow-capped mountains, creating a breathtaking landscape that was captured perfectly in my #360Photography and #PhotoSphere images. I was also able to experience the hot springs in #VirtualReality, which made me feel like I was really there.
The upper springs at Kirkham Hot Springs are the hottest of the springs and my #NatureLovers heart was in heaven. The overcast day contrasted beautifully with the rocks surrounding the spring, giving the rocks a bright, beautiful saturation. I was able to capture this unique moment with my #OutdoorPhotography skills. The air was still and silent, adding to the serene and peaceful experience. My girlfriend and I were able to fully relax in the spring, enjoying the quiet and solitude.
While there were no people around when I took the photo, we did encounter some frequent elk crossing the road later on. Families also showed up, with the sound of children laughing and playing filling the air. The locals were genuine and made us feel like we were part of their family. I enjoyed some great conversations while shopping at a little store run by a nice Christian man just a few miles down the road.
We were glad we took advantage of the still winter rates at the cabin we stayed at and opted for six nights, making even more #MemoriesMade. There are other hot springs up the road, but we didn't see them as we didn't have the snowshoes required for the time of year.
Overall, the trip from Beaverton, Oregon to Kirkham, Idaho was the trip of a lifetime and one I will always have vivid and fond #TravelMemories of. I encourage anyone who has the opportunity to visit Kirkham Hot Springs to not think twice about it. The rejuvenation and relaxation that you experience in the midst of such natural beauty is truly priceless.
