A Hike with Cousins in our Grandparents Mountain.

We get ready for the day's trip early in the morning by going over our packing list. Only the same barangay, where all of my relatives live, holds the location of our grandparents' mountain. Our parents once called this mountain home; but, due to the NPA or another rebellious group, they made the decision to leave the mountain and relocate to the coast. Furthermore, we started to hike and walk to that Mountain around 5 AM.

After ten minutes of hiking, we had only made about halfway to our target. Because some of my cousins want to rest, we take a short break. The hike had scarcely begun when I realized that some of my relatives were already feeling worn out. They may have been hiking in our grandparents' mountain for the first time. Since some of my cousins are female, we anticipate stopping frequently. Actually, the distance to the mountain where our grandparents once lived is only about 6 kilometers. I estimated that it would take us an hour and a half to get there. It was incredibly enjoyable because occasionally we pause to snap pictures and savor the present.

The smile on their faces truly makes me think of exhaustion in this photo of us taking a group selfie. Some of my cousins almost passed out and wanted to turn around because they feared they couldn't make it through the muddy they stamped on when we were traveling. They frequently want us to stop so they may take a picture. Our own hacienda seems to be a modeling agency.

So, an hour and thirty minutes later, we arrived at our destination. We harvest some chili and lemon, and we enjoy some coconut. I apologize for not being able to record those moments since one of my cousins borrowed my phone and I couldn't refuse her.

So I did some photography after we harvest and eat coconut.

We made the decision to go home and prepare some stuff to eat after spending three hours there. Togetherness building on hikes with my relatives is so much fun. I'd like to invite you to join us on our planned hike the following week. The next time, we'll bring food so we can fully enjoy the experience.
