We're lucky enough to live in the same town as a guy in Australia that does Landrover accessories. Having become good friends with him, we often are first in line for cool kit. Our rear wheel carrier was made by him, and is one of his most popular sellers, taking weight off the back door hinges and enabling things to be carried there like tyres and bikes.
This kit is a fold down table that's designed to fit over the gull wing or window without drilling any extra holes in the body. Of course, we drilled the holes - we don't need the gullwing and we weren't bothered with holes as we made the Landrover rear ourselves. If you're new to this blog and understand Landrovers, it's a 130 converted into a two door panelvan, which we believe is the only one in the world.
The big difference between this table and other side tables is that the hinges allow it to fold down to a reasonable height! Landrovers are quite high so this was important.
We got the prototype as it fit the generic max tracks instead of the brand name ones, and was a prototype or test model, so it was considerably cheaper. Lucky us! We don't mind the smaller, generic tracks as they were soooo much cheaper. Plus, they're black, not orange, which is better too.
Now my kitchen space has expanded - I have an L shape so that I can cook on one table and prepare or serve out on the other. So brilliant!!! And now we don't have to carry a camp table with us also, so a little more storage room - every little counts, right?

You're welcome.
Nice work. I like the L-shape. Very like a kitchen counter. Interesting to see.
Yes! Exactly. Can't wait to use it!
Sweet. Outdoor cook space for on the road or its getting nice enough now just to back it out of the shed at cook outdoors at home 🙂
Ha yes very tempted!!!
Nice setup, I bet must be great plus a roof top tent enough space for two person and go for long distance travels, that must be an experience, when I hear this stories I always thing about the worst, broken radiator, engine misfire, I guess too many movies about ppl stuck in the desert with a Land Rover 🤣, looks great ✌️
Hahahahah well Jamie's a good self taught mechanic, and he built the whole thing or rebuilt it including the engine, so it doesn't miss a beat and anything that goes wrong he can fix it.
We won't do the roof top tent, too much weight on top isn't good for 4WD and I hate getting up to wee in the middle of the night and risk killing myself.
OMG I just remembered the last of us is out tonight, yay.

I love that table and how it fits so well with the cooking area!! Great find!
So excited to take it out and use it!!
This is excellent. It reminds me of the work done by a Youtuber called MCQ Bushcraft, who also decked out his Jeep and documented it. I hope it carries you to many adventures!
Ah that looks so sleek. Such a great design for sure.
You have such a wicked set up, can't wait to see photos of you utilising it on the road. It's a great addition xxxxxx
How cool is it!!!! It's the ultimate camper. We wonder if we could live in it full time - probably not - but with a caravan as well for sure!
