To me, the worst of sandy places is being there when it is windy. There is no way to avoid getting it everywhere. But I admit the beauty of sandy nature is usually breathtaking, especially if you are there alone with no other humans around.

Yep, you've taken it to a whole other level; getting whipped by sand flung by the wind is terrible. I also agree about the beauty of it, the beach and all...but that doesn't mean I have to like sand. Lol.
I was in Valencia before the winter of 2019.
Since it was sunny, I went to the beach, took off my thin jacket and lay down on top of it on the fine sand. a light wind was blowing, but the sand on that beach was so fine that even that light wind blew it on me and my clothes.
When I opened my eyes, after 5 minutes, I was like buried in sand. sand on the wardrobe, sand on the face, sand in the hair, sand in the mouth. if I was talking, he would have filled my mouth. And if I was only in my underpants, he would have gone in there too. Sand and the wind, double evil.
