I found a deal on some dried food with a 25 year storage ability. The Alaskan Prepper provided me a link to these, on you tube! I like his videos, and try to watch them all.
Here is 120 servings of vegetable stew to store at the homestead:
I have hopes that if the SHTF occurs, I can take some small game and add them to this stew mix and make a really tasty stew. If not, it makes a pretty good meal by itself :
Not bad for a number 10 can that can store for 25 years, and then make a really good stew! I got lucky on these because through the Alaskan prepper link I got a sizable discount. I wish I'd bought more, finding the price almost double without coupons. it still looks like it would be a good deal and I made buy a few more anyway.
They were $13, and I found them for $25; with a regular price of $30. I want to buy at least three more soon. Next stop, homestead pantry storage.
Prepare, and be ready my friends!
Very good mate.
I think it will be pretty tasty, especially if I add local protein, LOL!

These cans contain individual sachets of the stew? Just ad water I guess right? Looks like a pretty good buy. I have a place where I can get MRE's but shelf life is only about 5 years at 75F (24C). Not so good and considering that drops to a month at 120F...Alternatives are always smart.
It is loose material in the can, but the storage is the most important part. I have a few MREs, but most of my prepper stock is either long term storage, or pantry stock to carry while I plant food.
I have about a year of long term storage now, but I'm looking for more, LOL!
Add a rabbit or squirrel, and this stew gets real tasty; real quickly. They are all over out there.

Ah ok, basically a can full of dehydrated vegetables. That would suit me well I think as my wife is vegetarian and of of the long-life meals around here are meat-based. That stew would be good with some kangaroo of venison in there I reckon.
Yes venison is a real possibility, LOL! It is vegetarian, so she would like it. Here, vegetarian is native American for 'bad hunter', ROFLOL!

Haha, yeah man she's not much of a hunter...When I go she's like, I hope you get nothing! Sometimes it come's true.
It happens, mine has made me promise that the 'local' deer will not end up in the pot! There is a herd of about a dozen living on my homestead.
I will add a feeder, and a salt block; so she can watch them!

...And one day...
Hey Toby, Glenis is gone...I can't see her anywhere.
That's ok dear...Just eat your stew.
