During the first day of the year, my friends and I decided to make a bicycle trip to the highest part of Medni Rid - peak Bakrlaka.
The place is located in South-Eastern Bulgaria and is part of Strandzha Mountain and it is an extremely pleasant and picturesque place.
We traveled by bicycle from Burgas city.
We crossed Rosenets Park.
We passed through the picturesque oak forests of the mountain. A beautiful picture in warm orange colors was revealed to us.
Near the top we meet these big friendly dogs.
They accompanied us to the uniquely beautiful rocks at the top of which there is a magnificent view from above of the Burgas Bay.
Although the weather was warm, it was unfortunately foggy and the view from above was not very clear. But it's always like that on this peak - you never know what view you're going to see when you go up.
My friends and I had a nice rest after the climb supporting each other with fresh drinks and homemade delicacies.
The sun started to go down and it started to get cold. We started preparing for the descent before it got dark.
We cycling back at sunset and arrived home in the dark.
Along the way we stopped several times to watch the setting sun as it showed itself between the tall trees.
We had a great first day of the year with lots of cycling, nice weather and good emotions.
