RE: fungi hunting in Karelian forest - 23 foto

But I really got lost in the woods! No jokes...

It's always a good idea to keep your direction in mind, rather than depending on tech or a friend :) ...

I'm having trouble focusing manually on this lens, it requires considerable adjustment of focus at even a slight change in distance, doing it all manually -- not easy...)

Maybe practice in your yard until you can get it just the way you want, time after time :) ?

Thanks for the vizit! Glad you enjoyed and supported that longread, hehe.
The trouble / problem / issue (you name it) with this manual lens is... its ultra wide angle, i.e. impossible for me to decide looking at the focusing screen of DSLR, if I got the focus correctly or not. I can check the capture I made, magnify and inspect it, but it takes time and simply it is another excessive task to do. And the focusing coil is pretty big, it has sections 0.5 meter > 0.8 > 1 > 1,2 > 1.5 > etc . I mean, ofc I know-how, and I can do that, I can focus manually at an object but it takes some noticeable time and efforts... and if my object changes its position every 10 seconds? or if I change the objects? all this leads to a sufficient problem. taking pictures of different objects with this lens, at different distances, doing it quickly and getting good clear focused photos -- is hardly possible ... unattainable task... and this is not a matter of practice 😨😪😜
I still love using this lens a lot! I just do it less often and I know I can't rely 100% on the result. !LOLZ
thats it!

Oh, it sounds sort of hit or miss 😂

Your post wasn't too long, by the way :)
