Below is an overview of the features:
Introducing Snaps Support: Recently the peakd team launched their own version of short content on Hive. As we are always supportive of cool and open initiatives on Hive, we integrated snaps onto Actifit app, alongside our prior support for ecency's waves.
You can find snaps displayed under the Discussions button on the main screen, just next to the "Post & Earn" button.
You can also create a "snap" or a "wave" by selecting the relevant radio button and using the Post functionality at the top of the Discussions screen.
Updating our cross-app translations: It's been a while since we've done a full review of all of our app's textual content. We just did this! So now you can use Actifit in your favorite language and make sure it is up-to-date. If you find any mistranslated content, you can give us a shout and we're happy to fix it.
Introducing new Chinese Language support: In alignment with the above, we also added support now for Chinese language to cater for the needs of our Chinese speaking community. 不客氣 😄
Speeding Up Activity History Screen: As we recently updated our activity history screen and introduced post links, this lead to an increase in loading time of the screen. We have adjusted the screen so that initial data loads and avoids keeping the user waiting before any data display. Loaders will show next to each tracked activity until results are returned back from querying the blockchain.
Switching Image Upload Functionality: We have switched over our image upload servers and functionality from AWS hosted S3 bucket to our other image proxy server. This was due to the inexplicable increase in AWS cost without any proper justification from AWS team. This same scenario happened over a year ago, when we started progressive migration from AWS images to our own proxy and the cost has been steady. Now the cost started increasing exponentially again and there is no realistic need for AWS anymore. We plan to migrate our image hosting functionality to spk network once the infrastructure is live.
