The freight forwarder then contacts all necessary carriers to provide the necessary expedited transportation. The shipper is not responsible for ensuring that the carriers meet their terms of service or that the cargo is unloaded and transported properly. In addition, the shipper does not have to worry about inspecting the cargo or making sure it gets to its destination on time.
