Allrighty, after I finished one part of my research work last night, I thought to myself this morning while having my first coffee on a beautiful sunny Sunday - check the entire 18k accounts that were created in 2024, which of them participated in the Inleo referral program - because there you advertise with 50 US dollars for every single recruited user. Well, I thought to myself... If there's going to be free tokens somewhere - at least in the form of a second layer token - then there's bound to be a few people hanging around here - haggling and, of course, creating fake accounts. So this morning I set myself the task of writing a little checker that takes the entire list of accounts from yesterday and checks it against the API, which is kindly provided by Inleo itself. And look - how wonder - quite a long list of accounts that have participated in the Leo referral program.
So I simply gave the Github Copilot integrated in my Visual Studio code environment a small but fine prompt that actually says everything that needs to be done. I simply told it that I had an accounts.txt file, an API endpoint to check the data and that it should display the information returned to me by the API in a nice frontend. And it did a great job. I'm so proud of you, you small but mighty artificial intelligence... When will you finally be able to read my mind and just do what I think? Elon Dude, finally bring the brain chips onto the market. WTF. Well, more context. As you can see from the screenshots, the AI did what I wanted and the first results are in. Perfectomundo.
So as I said - I just let the little fine script run until all 18k accounts from the year 2024 that were created with the account leo.voter were cross-checked. In the end, unfortunately, exactly what many of this community here on Hive already suspected came out - many many great usernames and accounts that participated in the Inleo referral program. Now, of course, one wonders whether Inleo will take countermeasures and I have to answer that with a great YES at this point. A discussion on the Inleo General Discord server also gave me the idea to write this little tool. A user had complained that he could not claim rewards because he had invited his “real human friends” to Inleo. You can follow the discussion here with screenshots from the Discord server:
I think it's great that Khal and the Inleo team have internal measurements ready to detect spam / fraud and block any fake claims. Considering the number of referral rewards accounts that have been created, this is a matter of course - otherwise the whole story would have exploded to an even greater extent. So, hats off at this point, well done and keep up the good work. But shouldn't the entire account creation really be adapted to Human Only at this point? After all, we want real people and not AI bots, fakers and just people who want to get rich.
But let's get back to that weird dude from the Discord who is crying about his really great real people friends from WhatsApp or Facebook not getting paid... And of course I found his whole gang that he brought to Inleo - after all, that was the aim of the tool, to uncover this kind of thing. And here, tada... his whole list of friends on Facebook and Whatsapp who think InLeo is great from now on:
Ok, enough at this point - I think you can now get an idea of what the intention behind my work was - uncovering - answering questions - creating transparency and simply responding to all the feedback I get in the Discord and in the comments. But hey, wait a minute - I have one more thing to get off my chest! A big congratulations to the idiot who managed to reach the leaderboard of most recruited users in 2024. This wonderful shit trophy goes to the user: @ricepuritytestt
And if, for the sake of transparency, you'd like to see the entire list, you can do so here.
Hands up for more transparency!
Peace out. and Happy Sunday everyone.

Have you tried cursor? I find it way better than VScode
Have it installed yea but not realy used it, cause i prefer VS-Code im working a long time with it. And in vscode i have a bunch of Addons / Extensions for my work in the area of Security Researches.
Try it, cursor feels the same and it imported all my code extensions
i guess i can still use it like vscode - even the trial is ran out ^.^ lol.
The free plan is pretty generous for now, I am sure they will put the price up in the future.
The openness of the Hive data makes many things transparent. We already have so many fake accounts on Hive and need more real people. I do some basic checks before I add people to my #BritList, but some may slip through. I see plenty using the wrong location anyway.
I've not tried generating code with 'AI' yet, but maybe I should.

i love seeing the ways you're playing with ai coding! keep it up. when the tools get even more powerful you'll be right there making even better stuff
Thank you sir. I'm already have just an Idea for an Real-World Problem i have - I want to track my current location and dont want it have it on Services like Google or so - So basically what my idea was roughly having a mobile app, you set an interval and a travelname and then the app collects the GEO Coordinates every 3 seconds and collect them 5 minutes long and the publishs them encrypted with the memo key as a custom_json to my account - later on, i can recall my entire trip i made and written down to the chain. well, just an idea.
Great job. I'm a bit annoyed by new lions who are obviously fake accounts created to milk the referral system.
Call me a skeptic, but when I see that many names in a list I have to question the validity of it all. Not the coding of course, data is data and data doesn't lie, but nobody knows that many people closely enough to onboard them. Even my nieces who have about a million friends don't know that many people they could convince to do something. Maybe if HIVE was more well known, but unfortunately it's not. This reeks of some coordinated group trying to take advantage of the system.
