I'll just go with the flow. The changes mentioned here can/will be beneficial and could potentially bring on a new set of challenges, but that's to be expected.
@blocktrades. Are you passionate about this project? Does it bring you joy?

I'm passionate about some aspects of Hive, less passionate about others. I'm mostly passionate about the rating calculation system I want to build on top of Hive, as I think it addresses some of the major problems we all face nowadays in practical epistemology (if one accepts there is such a thing, and I do) and in fair/optimal economics.
I'm curious to see where you're going with that system. Save it for a post though.
How do you feel about — rather than taking another shot at reinventing the wheel — we simply randomize voting order at payout... ?
Everything could remain as is, but every post would turn into a fair curation reward lottery. It won't matter who votes when or how. Some days people get skunked, other days they hit the jackpot. Auto voters can't snag a better position. Late voters/actual consumers/contributors aren't topping up the wallets of noncontributors. Every vote is an equal opportunity.
Randomization on a blockchain is more work than it sounds, especially to get it right. The proposed change is actually easier.
It's times like these I regret giving up on Qbasic, back in the day. Instead I focused more on the art side of development.
I'll just take your word for it. LOL!
