"Where your Wishes come true"
WHAT IS OPEN GENIE?
An open source website created by @peak.open for the Hive community (and all of crypto) to post new projects you want help with. Projects you need help with and can fund some work large to small (from logo design to photography to website development).
It's kind of a reverse Fiverr where you indicate your needs first and then users come to you indicating interest.
HOW IT WORKS
- Users sign up to be "Genies" and select categories of expertise
- A Wish is posted by someone needing help with a project
- Genies are notified and then interact with the wish maker
- Wish maker selects someone to work with and has some discussion with them
- Wish is filled (aka project completed)
- Genie is paid
PERKS OF THE SITE
This project https://genie.peakd.com/ is built on Hive blockchain and was funded by the Hive Community and as such there are lots of perks.
First off it's an open protocol and open source so if other Hive projects want to impliment this into their site or a part of it they can and it's encouraged we do not need to have a monopoly on our site.
Also it's FREE... we do not have any need to monetize our implementation. This means there is no cut taken between Wish Maker and Genie.
Because of the connection to HIVE/HBD you can make wishes as big or as small as you want. MicroPayments is something Fiverr and other similar sites can't compete with.
A perk for the HIVE COMMUNITY could be the potential inflow of outside users who want to add projects or fill projects and find the site and in so doing get a Hive account and perhaps find joy in the other things Hive blockchain has to offer. Helping this community funded project is a way to help all of Hive and gives us a unique, free and exciting product to offer all of Crypto.

LEADING UP TO MAY 13th
We have been building and testing and are ready for a fresh release.
We have been playing around on the site already, it's not hidden, and is completely usable. Go give it a shot. https://genie.peakd.com/
Already users on the Peak Projects discord have been in there helping us test. We have fixed bugs and smoothened out the experience and made some plans for some future upgrades based on feedback and even set up wishes in search of bugs and feedback.
On the 13th we will clear all the wishes (many are test wishes) and we will open it up to everyone and promote it even more.
RELEASE CELEBRATION
To celebrate the release we are going to help pay for some of the communities Wishes. So on the 13th create a wish and respond to our wish you'll see on the site. As stated earlier the DB of wishes will be reset but all your drafts will be saved for quick release on the 13th.
So start thinking now about what wishes you're going to post on OPEN GENIE
As mentioned earlier we have been testing the site quite a bit and getting feedback from users. We have also posted many wishes and have successfully closed dozens of wishes. Specially using the Duplicate wish feature we were able to do several wishes that multiple Genies could fulfill.
