RE: (Re-)Introducing HiveInvite. Invite your friends!

I don't understand, how can you lose hive there? Except for the email and account creation process it doesn't offer anything you couldn't do elsewhere too.

I've also always been reachable on discord.

I got the token, then when it was account creation time, the token didn't work, the page just hanged and times out. I sent a comment on one of your posts at that time. You did not reply. I surmised you were doing other things. So i just took it as a lose. The token i am not sure if it works or not but i took it as a lose since there was no customer support. But yes, hope you don't go disappearing again.

Yes, the token is still in your account and usable on Peakd for example.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. I was thinking to argue that that's one of the downsides that comes with decentralization, but then I had to think about all the actively used products that have been deactivated by normal companies.

Thing here is, I'm not a company. My funding to dedicate time to non-profit projects like this come through witness votes, and my position is very volatile. Of course I would like to provide continuous support for both the software and users, but when I have to worry about how to cover my regular expenses priorities tend to switch.

And besides that, I could get hit by a bus tomorrow. Which is why I open source all of my work. That's the best I can think of to ensure future availability. This case wasn't easy to take over as several libraries had changed or deprecated, but if I disappear in the near future it should be an easy job for anyone with a little technical knowledge to get an instance running.

OK I take your explanation and thank you for your effort. Please don't get hit by a bus.
