Dewdrops are another one of those plants that I expect to be seeing soon as spring is sooo close. It feels like it's here, buuuut I'm not quite sure as it's not unusual for us to get one last blast of serious cold in March. I am longing for spring with green grass and colourful flowers. I want to draw these lovely bits of nature OUTSIDE not just from photos.
I did this one in a bit of a different process, and also while feeling glum(hence the colours being rather dreary on the flower)
I started with a dark background and then blocked in the flower and stem.
Then I started shading in the stem.
And then each of the petals
and then came the background.
