When I started on the blockchain, it was a struggle for me both in engagement and rewards for my content. I remember receiving less than 25cents for the majority of my posts, and no visitors.
That changed when I ventured out into various Communities and started engaging genuinely with others. I love contests, so I entered numerous ones as time permitted. My favorite Communities are writing and art, as I usually hang out in Freewriters, Alien Art Hive, and FreeCompliments leaving my Talent Tuesday posts.
Of course, publishing quality content was key whenever others visited my Profile and saw my fiction writing and art projects. I'm not going to tell you that I saw instant results. Five years it has taken me accomplish this small bit of success. My HP is not huge, but I manage to support and encourage others.
As you say on your Profile that "patience and consistency is the key to success", it's definitely true. But consistency is one of the single most activity you can do. When others see that and the quality of your work, they will visit, support, and perhaps Follow your journey.

Wow wow, sometimes it can be tiring for sure, but I noticed something in all you just said, determination is one thing that helped you scale through, yes rewards are important because they help to sustain a content creator but I think what gives lasting sustainance is engagement, and like you said quality should speaks for me always.
