Hello friends, when last did you give yourself a treat? When last did you look yourself in the mirror and say I love you? When last did you write a love note to yourself, patting yourself on the back?
On today's episode of 'Peek Into My Day And Learn ', I discovered that it is always easy to eulogize others and leave yourself in the blame and regrets room. So, I thought of giving myself a love treat and I hope you do so too, sometimes, someday.
This is a love letter to me, enjoy the read:
Hey! Beegirl,
Do you know how much I admire you? Oh, yes! I admire your strength to pull through even when you don't feel like it. If you were to be judged by your size, maybe, just maybe, you wouldn't have been given a place. But just take a look at you,; youare an explicit definition of ‘small but mighty’.’ And the fact that you don't get intimidated by bigger people, is quite applaudable.
You see those moments when you get to do something new and you do it as though you've been doing it before? That's creativity right there! I commend you for that.
Loving you is one thing I'd do over and over. Your desire to learn and willingness to take corrections is amazing. You may not have reached the zenith of your goals but certainly,you are not at the nadir. You're growing, with grit, determination, empathy and inclusiveness.
Baby girl, I know there are days you feel like running away from the world and just be all by yourself. Yes, some days are like that. But I also appreciate the fact that you pick up yourself, wipe your butt and keep going -that’s the spirit!
I appreciate your efforts to build meaningful relationships even when you're not the ‘people’s person’. I've seen how you've evolved from being a chronic loner to catching up with people. Sometimes, I even get shocked by the vibes you exude. Well done!
I'm aware of how much you spread love,yes? It is good. But I want you to love yourself more. You can only give love from the abundance that you have and enjoy, so love you like your life depends on it.
There are greater heights to attain and bigger feats to reach and I believe in you my girl. You can do it. The road may be tough, slimy and full of bumps. Don't quit. Keep moving. You know the Luther Statement, don't you? If you can't fly,run. If you can't run, walk. If you can't walk, crawl. Don't stop moving.
But I know you have the ability to soar. Flap those wings and mount up like the eagle that you are.
