Why self-discipline? Because you can't control the world, but you can control yourself. Here's my blueprint for self-discipline:
Most people start the day with small wins, accumulating victories early. I go the inverse. I begin my day with the mega projects and mega tasks, executing them early. If I leave the big things for later, it becomes difficult to have enough emotional capital and energy. But doing them first gives me the capital, attention, time, and spirit to tackle them.
As I build momentum, I execute throughout the day. The power of self-discipline lies in learning to say no and prioritizing.
Hope that helps!

That's a decent strategy. What works for me is listing everything I need to get done with estimates for how long each task should take. My tendency to be punctual overrides my tendency to procrastinate so I find a way to get things done 'on time'.
