I was sitting in the café like every day working on my mobile and thinking about my day until a person I have known for a long time came up to me his appearance was not normal his eyes looked tired as if something was affecting him.
He grabbed a chair in front of me and sat down and said to me in a low voice I am in a big crisis and the money I have is not enough and if I dont find a solution I will be in trouble.
I don't know what exactly was wrong with him but I felt that something had changed in him I saw the signs of distress on his face and he said to me The money I have will not be enough until the end of the month and no one will be able to help me with the debts.
After he was silent for a while I thought of a small thing I could do to help him I didnt have a huge amount of money or anything but I felt that if I helped him even with a small amount it might make a difference to him.
I told him You are not alone I can help you with something simple now and this might give you time to solve the crisis.
He started to open his eyes with a little hope and smiled and it was clear that he started to feel that he was not alone in this concern.
I gave him the small amount I had and his reaction was unexpected His eyes sparkled and he looked as if someone had given him a key to solve a big problem.
He said to me You dont know how much this made a difference to me It would have taken me a long time to find a solution but this help came at exactly the right time.
He could not believe it and he was very happy and he started telling me about everything he was carrying This made me understand how much a little help can make a difference in someones life especially when they are in a difficult time.
I felt a joy unlike any other joy a joy because you helped someone in a difficult time even if the help was simple He was flying with joy and he was very grateful to me The best thing about it was that it was just a small step from me but it was like a light in a dark tunnel.
