Ah, Selfie Saturday is here again, my darlings—and this week, I come to you post-dance training. It has been a wild ride of sweat, grace, and a few unexpected foot cramp encounters, but all in all—fulfilling and oh-so-rewarding. As you can see from the selfie, my week of dance training left me feeling in shape, powerful, and—dare I say—gloriously exhausted.
Dancing for me is like stepping into another realm. One moment you're lost in the precision of technique, the next, you're simply flowing with the rhythm. This week was both a challenge and a joy. I can honestly say that I feel stronger, more connected to my body, and finally, back in form after what felt like a small eternity of dragging myself through lower-energy days.
But let’s talk about the beauty of dance beyond the physical workout, shall we? Dance is a release, a form of expression that lets you pour out your soul without uttering a single word. Every spin, every leap, every breath taken during a routine is a silent dialogue with oneself. And while it’s intense, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
To everyone training, sweating, or even just surviving another week—cheers to us. We’re moving, we’re pushing boundaries, and more importantly, we’re staying in tune with our inner power. That’s what matters.
So, what was your victory this week? Whether you danced, ran, or simply conquered another day—don’t forget to celebrate yourself, even if it’s just with a selfie.
Ciao Kakao,

Ciao Kakao,
Your Morticia

The other day, while I was walking through a few neighborhoods on my way home from an appointment I had, I was listening to "Maniac" by Michael Sembello from the 1984 movie Flashdance. Your post reminded me of these lyrics:
I'm not a dancer, but I think in some way we feel this way when we enter some zone for whatever we are doing (writing, athletics, arts, etc.). It's only after we're out of that zone that we realize what we had accomplished.
What a beautiful connection you’ve made between the lyrics of Maniac and the feeling of being in "the zone." You're absolutely right—whether it's dance, writing, athletics, or any form of creative expression, there’s this magical moment where you become so immersed in what you’re doing that time seems to disappear, and you are the thing you’re creating. It’s a flow, a rhythm that carries you, and it’s only once you step back that you can fully appreciate the transformation and effort that took place.
I love that you brought up Flashdance—there's something iconic about the way it captures not only the physicality of dance but also the mental and emotional surrender that comes with being completely in tune with your craft. Whether we dance with our feet or our minds, that feeling of pushing ourselves to the edge and coming out stronger is something we can all relate to. Thank you for sharing this—I feel like we’re all just dancers at heart, finding our rhythm in different ways. 💃🖤 #freecompliments
Dancing should also be quite a good form of exercise. It certainly looks like you get a good amount of exercise 💪🏼
