My Best Meta in 2024 and My Hope for 2025

Greeting Everyone

I am very confused when I write this post. I do not know whether I should be happy or sad, because this post is supposed to be another Splinterlands post I frequently write on weekends, however this going to be my last Splinterlands post for 2024... so..

I would like to welcome you all to my last Splinterlands post in 2024. 2024 is a very unique journey for my Splinterlands life, from thinking about retiring and then I met some new players in new guild that lighted up my spirit again.

In this opportunity, I will share my best meta of all for my 2024 Splinterlands games, and as you can see from the picture above, It is the Water Quarted that I have posted before several weeks ago:

They are very strong and I have high winrate whenever I deploy them. In this post I will reshare it again, but this time I put another of my newly favorite rewards card, which is:

yes, the Night Reaper. I like it's unique shape, it's like a creature from different tale. It is really hard to use this card, because it demands high mana. but when you feel you are in the right condition to deploy Night Reaper, and it works, it outperforms everyone else.

In this post I will share how this Wingbreak ability could blend well with my favorite Meta, the quartet of Water Element.

HIGHLIGHTED BATTLE

~Click The Image Above To See the Full Battle~

I pick this battle from modern ranked. It has a supporting ruleset, which is 54 mana cap. I need big mana cap so I can house in my quartet of Water Element and that Night Reaper. It looks like my opponent comes with a strong line up too, especially due to that Olivia of The Brook.

Both of us did not come with our max leveled cards. I think both of us were testing our meta, maybe he wanted to write a Splinterlands post too. Ok let make this simple, here are some keys of my strategy

  1. We had a Silenced Summoner, so all summoners would be the same. It is better to choose dragon summoner if level is not an issue. Having lower mana Summoner is helpful too, regarding they are all not having any abilitily
  2. I brought Night Reaper because I believed in High Mana Cap battle, mostlikely we would meet a flying opponent, such as Uriel The Purifier, Chaos Dragon, or some other big monsters.
  3. I had my quartet of Water Element so I believed most likely I would end as the victor here.

Ok let's see how this would go

image.png

  • The battle started with both side buffing their team and debuffing their opponent. My opponent came with a combined approach. They try to have various kind of attack and defends there while I am more like a gang ho pin pointed to their weakest point.
  • They came with 8 Melee damage, 2 range damage and 8 magic damage, which made a combined 18 damage per round.
  • My team had 12 Melee damage, 3 range damage and 3 magic damage. So we had a combined 18 per round. - Both of us had equal hitting power, so this should be interesting.

image.png

  • None died in the first round. My team should have taken down their Adelade Brightwing but their Djinn Renova saved her, her strengthen made that 1 health point survival then her triage tried to prevent her from getting killed.
  • As I made that fascinating story, she died instantly from Night Reaper attacks. It's a big blow for them because Adelade Brightwing had not got any chance to use her resurrect ability.

image.png

  • After I killed Adelade Brightwing, my team made a killing spree... This made round 3 started with 3 vs 6 condition. My team looked like making a huge gap there.
  • Even I lost my Baakjira here, my team managed to put down that Drybone Barbarian who had 8 melee damage.

image.png

  • At this point, 2 vs 5 I could not see how they could make any come back. My team was faster there, we would make all the kills before they could react.

image.png

  • Ok I made a miscalculation there. They survived another round but this was the last round. Good Game.

Overall as you could see, my opponent meta was not bad, it's just my meta was too strong for them. The Quarted of Water Element indeed my best meta in 2024!!

My Hope For 2025

I know this is Splinterlands post, so I do not want to make this too long and get cheesy in the end. I would like to thank my Splinterlands buddies, my fellow guild members, my opponents in Tier 5 Guild Brawls, and you all who read my Splinterlands post on Hive.

If I have to make a wish for 2025, that wish will be a bizarre one for some people. I wish in 2025 I will find another quartet, trio, or duo that becomes my favorite meta. I wish to let go this Quartet of Water Element not because of they are too strong. It is because of Chaos Legion.

We have been playing all together with Chaos Legion for 2 years, and I think the end is near where we have to say good bye to them. We need to move on, and I want and I will be those people who move on from Chaos Legion.

This will be painful for most of us, especially from financial perspective. I know some of us have heavily invested in Chaos Legion set, maybe overinvested is the more appropriate vocabulary. But We need to let go our past, we need to play with new deck, having a new challenge, a new various kind of meta. New units new summoners which will refresh our feeling in this game.

I know we still have a few months a head before the new set is released and Chaos Legion will be sent to Wild Format. In this remaining time, I will try to learn how to optimize Rebellion decks. I hope soon I have my new favorite meta too which not involved any Chaos Legion set.

Anyway that's all for today post, and Thanks for coming and have a blast in Splinterlands Battles!!
