Hola amigos de #FreeCompliments espero que esten bien en todos los sentidos de la vida.
Paso por acá para compartir con ustedes parte de lo que hago en mi trabajo. Soy médico anestesiólogo, verticalizado en la oncologia; muchos dirán "ayy que trabajo más feo" 😅, pero nada más lejos de la verdad, no hay cosa que se sienta mejor que ayudar a VIVIR.
Para comenzar lo primero es la consulta de anestesia, la que a veces se vuelve incómoda y a veces hasta cómica, depende del paciente, que muchas veces llegan con el pensamiento de que es una prueba, que si los vamos a "pinchar" jajaja noooooo, solo es consulta, conversar, preguntar datos del paciente y es el momento de aclarar dudas.
Una vez terminada la consulta el médico traza su plan anestésico, que aunque puede ser parecido para todos, es individual y personalizado para cada paciente.
Ya en el salón de operaciones se prefijan los valores respiratorios calculados en la máquina de anestesia y se preparan los medicamentos a utilizar, como ven en la imagen todas las jeringas tienen el nombre de cada fármaco rotulado para evitar el error; pero estos no son los únicos, debe de haber un arsenal medicamentoso listo para ser usado en el momento en que haga falta.
Cada cosa a preparar tiene su tiempo pero la verdad es que todo lo hacemos al unisono, lo otro a preparar es el equipamiento manual , el cual principalmente se usa en la instrumentacion de la via aerea.
La verdad que esto es solo una pequeñisima parte de mi trabajo, los anestesiologos tenemos que ver con TODO en un quirófano, de ahi la importancia de la especialidad. En unos dias me inspiro y les cuento un poco más.

I am here to share with you part of what I do in my work. I am an anesthesiologist, specialized in oncology; many will say "oh, what an ugly job" 😅, but nothing could be further from the truth, there is nothing that feels better than helping to LIVE.
To start, the first thing is the anesthesia consultation, which sometimes becomes uncomfortable and sometimes even funny, it depends on the patient, who often arrive with the thought that it is a test, that if we are going to "prick" them hahaha noooooo, it is just a consultation, talking, asking about the patient and it is time to clarify doubts.
Once the consultation is over, the doctor draws up his anesthetic plan, which although it may be similar for everyone, is individual and personalized for each patient.
In the operating room, the respiratory values calculated on the anesthesia machine are pre-set and the medications to be used are prepared. As you can see in the image, all the syringes have the name of each drug labeled to avoid errors; but these are not the only ones; there must be a drug arsenal ready to be used when needed.
Everything to prepare takes its time, but the truth is that we do everything in unison. The other thing to prepare is the manual equipment, which is mainly used in the instrumentation of the airway.
The truth is that this is only a very small part of my work, anesthesiologists have to do with EVERYTHING in an operating room, hence the importance of the specialty. In a few days I'll get inspired and tell you a little more.
