... And Back To Nights Again

Does that little .gif look familiar? It's because I used it just a few days ago when talking about switching from night shifts to daytime. Now, I'm back to night shifts starting tomorrow evening.

My body still hasn't fully adjusted to daytime. I've been falling asleep persistently during my board review sessions, and not even making it to them on time in the morning due to physical exhaustion. I was genuinely angry coming over there today, knowing that I was late, and, on top of that, would end up missing some additional content because I'm not fully awake and adjusted to daytime hours.

My most "awake" and energetic hours have been in the early evening, somewhere in the range of 10 p.m. - 12 a.m. Now that I've made a partial adjustment to daytime, here we go right back again.

I haven't been exercising at all recently, since I'm too physically tired to do so, and also know that I'd be even sleepier during my essential work / study hours if I did exercise. I can't afford to have that happen, so the exercise is temporarily out the window.

Meditation I've been doing most days, but not every day, especially not yesterday. I had to prioritize sleep.

Stretching I've done fairly consistently (missed 1 or 2 times). It's still quite helpful for the prostate thing.

I've also been trying to eat at a calorie deficit so that I could be consistent with my "cutting" cycle. I'd like to lower my bodyfat percentage just a little bit before I resume building up muscle again. Frankly, this was probably the worst timing I could have chosen because the cutting cycle is not too easy to undergo, especially during such a physically stressful time. But I'll keep it up. It'll only be about 2 more weeks.

So, for now, I'm going to nap for a few hours, wake up, groom myself so I can feel a bit more human again, eat and chill briefly, and go back to sleep until the afternoon. Then I'll head off for my night shift. 3 of those, then switching back to days again. I'm not looking forward to this at all... but I'll do it.

All you are doing is buying votes through delegations.

Some of the votes come from delegations, but I have built some following as well, and interact with people whom I've come to know on Hive. Posting here over the past several months has gotten me through quite a difficult time, and a period of personal growth. All of my content and thoughts are strictly my own; if anything, I overshare here, albeit anonymously (there's certainly some sensitive content which I wouldn't want my colleagues to know about). I don't like to judge the source of people's votes, but rather the content of what they write and how they interact with their peers. Some of them have been with me for a while and boosted my spirits during the worst of times, and I'm grateful for them. That's what makes Hive special.
