Healthy Options is the Philippine’s pioneer and largest retailer of natural and organic supplements, food, drinks, and beauty products both for adults and children.

I learned about it when my daughter was in a critical condition in 2014. When she was 2 years old, she normally got sick almost every 2 weeks: cough, colds, fever and difficulty in breathing. It came to a point when her nails and her eye bags would turn purple then she would keep rolling over the floor crying. At first, I thought she was just having tantrums, but when it became repetitive, I brought her to an EENT (eyes, ears, neck throat) doctor. There, the doctor saw that she had grade 3 tonsils, meaning her tonsils were moderately enlarged for her age, which causes obstruction in her throat and airways. At the age of 2, my daughter also snored so much and had problems swallowing food.

With this diagnosis, the doctor recommended an operation for her. I felt it was too aggressive given that she was just 2 years old. That recommendation added to my worries because I was also going through health problems that time. I told my mom about it and a friend whom I assisted sometime last 2012 with her business.

Since we wanted to save my daughter, we thought the immediate solution was to go through the operation. My friend strongly opposed it and said she had a solution for my daughter’s problem. She sent medicines both for me and my daughter all the way from the U.S. However, she wanted me to send her feedback as to how my daughter was responding to the medicines. Those medicines were new to me and when I asked her, she said, “Your daughter needs natural medicines. All the doctors did to your daughter was given her antibiotics which never really treated the cause of her ailment.” I was in awe of why she was saying it then I learned she was a naturopath. I never knew before because all we talked about was her exporting business!

So, I trusted her and followed all her instructions. She said it was easy to get the medicines because she goes to the U.S.A. every now and then since she was an American citizen. Then she said in my case, I can get some of it from HEALTHY OPTIONS.

I was so thankful to this friend of mine because after taking the medicine she gave my daughter and teaching natural ways of healing, my daughter never got sick anymore (Thank God!) and did not need any operation! Until today, we consider her our Good Samaritan. Since then, every time my daughter gets sick, I first try natural remedies. Like if she gets simple colds, I will give honey, calamansi (Philippine lemon) and a pinch of cinnamon. Then she’s good! For her vitamins and mine, we now get everything from Healthy Options.

Healthy Options’ products are cheaper from synthetic medicines because a bottle from them is usually good for 2-3 months. Although the effects are not that fast, it is guaranteed to work.

What I really like about going to Healthy Options is, it offers high quality customer service! I am so impressed how knowledgeable their store agents are. They certainly know each item they are selling, and they are so patient in answering all inquiries about a specific product. I then learned that the owner invests so much on the training of his people. He only hires college graduates and even sends them to America to visit their suppliers, vendors and partners.

Next, their brands. Healthy Options have their own products, but they also carry upscale brands from the U.S.A. I am very meticulous. I searched these brands, and I believe they are well selected because most have good feedback. You will never see their brands anywhere in the Philippines.

Last, their location. Healthy Options do not just open anywhere. You will usually see them in affluent areas where class A and B of the society usually go.

Healthy Options started in 1995 at the Shangri-La Mall in Mandaluyong City. Today they already have 34 branches in the whole Philippines. As they have expanded their products to organic vegetables, herbs, meat and eggs, the owners are now tapping local farmers within the country particularly from Laguna province. So, natural medicines from the U.S.A. and organic food from the Philippines!

The good news is, Healthy Options is getting offers and inquiries from Singapore, Indonesia and other parts of Asia but the owners are yet to find a suitable partner.
