They say change is inevitable and indeed it is.We can not avert change but understanding that it comes in two ways is something to reckon with. The two ways are good and bad circumstances. In good happenings everyone is happy nevertheless no one is prepared for misfortune. Yeah we can say some are ready by way of insurance to some extent .However insurance does not cover us from emotional damage or injury. On Monday I read a story of a young man who was involved in a road accident that left him with one leg.
The young man narrated what happened before the accident occured. He reported for work on that day and everything was going on well as he did his usual routines. As midday approached he received good news. The wife gave birth to their first child, he shared the good news with his workmates they congratulated him with joy. His boss head the news and gave him some money and permission to leave to visit his wife. On his way
he decided to wait for a bus along the road, no bus was showing up for about 2 hours.
Finally a mini bus arrived, he decided to get on it because transport was scarce on that day. The bus drove off however while on the journey, he noticed the driver was over speeding. He told him to slow down but the driver got upset and respond that, he has been driving for 13 years and knows what he is doing. The young man still insisted nonetheless the request fail on deaf ears. When he saw that no one on the bus was bothered by the speed, he decided to keep quiet and watch.A few minutes later the driver was tried to overtake a heavy load truck and lost control. The next thing that happened is the young man found himself in a hospital bed with his left leg gone. The people who where at his bedside told him, he was involved in a road accident and he is the only one that survived.

From the narrative we see that the young man was not prepared for the change that brought misfortune. If the young man had insurance, still the insurance cover could have not taken the pain of losing a leg and the emotions that came in his hospital bed.
