Everything happened so fast, no one imagined that that day would be a day they would never forget. They went from expectation to madness. But what really happened? For that we must go back in time, several years ago when that tragic day was when everything happened. You see, that day Chloe was preparing to pilot the jet she worked on. She is a private jet pilot. She has thousands of hours of experience flying so she is very good at what she does, it is not surprising that many famous people and artists have flown on her jet. But she was more dedicated to transporting singers and musical bands. It turns out that that day she had to transport a whole band, so the plane would be full. She would take them to an event in another country where they would give a concert.
It all started out as normal as always. Chloe got on the plane and Marco was the co-pilot with her. They had worked together many times. Like her, he worked for the same agency. Then the passengers, mostly musicians, got on the plane and once they got permission to take off, they started the engines and took off. Once in the air, things went relatively well and without any problems, as they always had. In fact, Chloe had a record of never having any problems in flight, so she was confident as always. As they continued to move towards their destination, everyone in the passenger cabin was very happy.
The passengers were anxious to get there because the next day they were going to give a big concert. So they were excited about the opportunity. Also, the sooner they got there, the sooner they could start rehearsing. Chloe told them to sleep if they wanted because there were still about 3 hours of travel left and they would have to make a stopover to fill up the fuel tank again. Mike, a passenger who was the orchestra director, was dead asleep, so he fell asleep. Suddenly he hears some noises and sees that the plane is making a roar. When he looks out the window, one of the plane's engines is on fire.
She immediately saw that panic was spreading on the plane. Everyone went from being calm and happy to have reached their destination to being scared to death. Some began to pray, others to cry and others went into shock, they didn't know what to do. It was a terrible situation. Meanwhile in the cockpit the chaos was just as bad or worse than in the passenger cabin. Both Chloe and Marco struggled to keep the plane stable with one of its engines on fire. The plane could fly with only one engine but the damage to the other wing was so great that it could no longer stay in the air. The situation became complicated when they realized that there was not much time to think and there was only one option available, an emergency landing.
As you can imagine this decision was very difficult for them because almost always plane accidents end in tragedy. So they would put all their skills to the test. But there was a big problem. They were not in the city to land at the nearest airport. What was below them was a jungle full of trees. So it would be very difficult to land without destroying the plane in the attempt. Chloe calculated that she had about 2 minutes of flight time left so they had to land immediately. Marco saw a small clearing in the distance and informed her. The clearing wasn't very big but it would at least be good for landing. Remember that the plane was small so there was a chance that everything would go well.
So Chloe took the controls and steered the plane. The emergency landing was very hard and destroyed a large part of the plane, such as its wings and landing gear. So it would never be able to fly again, but who was going to worry about that at that moment? Well, the emergency landing ended well. There were no deaths as the plane slid across the ground without disintegrating. Still, several passengers were injured. Once the plane stopped, everyone got out of the plane. Chloe and Marco organized everyone. They handed out bottles of water, gave them the food that was inside the plane and even a bottle of champagne. They were in a mess, but at least they had style.
At least 12 hours passed from the accident until Chloe and Marcos were able to fix the plane's radio to report the accident. In less than 2 hours, all the rescuers were at the scene. They were all very surprised that everyone was alive and how well the pilots had handled the situation. Once in the city, everyone was taken to the same hospital. It turns out that none of them had serious injuries, just a few scratches. So they were discharged that same day. The best thing about the experience is that the concert was not cancelled. The entire orchestra attended.
And of course, the special guests were Chloe and Marcos. The concert was dedicated in their honor for their brave work and how well they handled everything. It was an experience they would never forget. Chloe remembers this day as the day of the orchestra in the air. She still does the same thing. But now she was an accidental heroine and improvised leader.
