Yesterday was a family day again. I did 40 in the morning with my kids just like yesterday. We went out to the park most of the day. This park has some hiving trails, so we ended up walking most of the time there. I love hiking, so it was good. I'm happy to see that as my kids get older, they enjoy it as well. Though it seems like lately my oldest is always terrified of something.

Yesterday it was snakes. He was afraid we were going to meet some in some of the trails, and he kept worrying about it, wondering if the imaginary snakes would be venomous and kill us. There are several venomous snakes in Japan, including a rather nasty one called a mamushi which likes to hide in leaf piles and does get the occasional hiker, so I didn't lie to him and say we won't run into any, but I did say the likelihood is fairly low and I told him what to look for.
Besides the snake panic, it was a good day and we all enjoyed.
When I got home I wanted to knock out the rest of my squats, but the kids wanted to play Uno, so Uno it was. Then they settled down to watch Ultraman, so I took the time to do two more sets of 30, bringing me to 100 squats for the day.
That brings me to 1105 for the month!
I'm doing this 100 Squats per day Challenge with @livinguktaiwan, @pardinus, and @xrayman to raise funds for Cancer Research. Read my challenge announcement here.
If anyone else wants to join, please do, and please mention it here! And if you want to donate, please donate here or send HIVE/HBD directly to @livinguktaiwan and she will convert it to fiat and donate it herself.
Almost all of us will have to deal with cancer in our lifetimes, either we will get it or someone we love will get it. 1 in 8 women will eventually get breast cancer. An astonishing 1 in 3 men will eventually get prostate cancer. There are many other cancers with similar scary high rates. If you are able, please consider donating or spreading the word of this fundraiser.

Looks like your eldest and I have the same phobia 😰.
Nice and steady for a Sunday.
Btw, what file format is your progress sheet?
I was wondering the same about the format, it would be nice to use a digital squat calendar!
Here:
Thanks a ton!!
Ah you want it too. haha ok. Give me a bit and I'll save a clean copy and upload it for you.
One you guys share with Indiana Jones, so it's good company! 😃 They don't freak me out too much, but I can definitely understand the fear.
The progress sheet is in jpg. I saved it from the pdf you send me the link for. Would you like me to save a blank one for you? I can upload it here if you'd like.
Edit: Here you go
I used the scream and throw the newspaper or magazine through the roof if I saw them in print, scared the hell out of my husband when we first met.
Thanks for the jpeg file! If I were to continue do a handwritten version, I guess I'd have to scan it to a pdf everyday and then convert to jpeg? I'm fussy 😅
Yeah, that sounds right. Do you use Mac? The pdf app (Preview) allows you to quickly save a pdf as a jpg, so it's relatively quick to do.
I had to look up the mamushi, what a gorgeous snake! But hope you don't run into her, nasty bite she has.
Yep!
This is a great initiative I love what you guys are doing.
Cheers
Come and join us @pazartesi ! It is only hard in the first squat! I promise! Jump in!
You're doing great! Keep up the good work!
Funny to see that Uno is known in Japan as well. In Belgium children play (and like) it as well! :D
Everyone loves Uno! It is pretty popular with kids here.
If I had that interesting family program, I probably would never get to do the only 100 minimum squat repetition... Ahahah Uno is that game that you can't compete with. It's so much fun to play it!
Speaking of that, it reminds me that I miss to play that game with my goddaughter and her parents :)
I wonder if Uno is one of the most universal games worldwide. Everyone I meet in every country loves it.
