Fine gold is hard work, this spot has mostly small nuggets and a lot of times no panning was needed. But the smaller ones I usually ended up digging up the spot into a bucket, confirming in was in the bucket with the detector, carrying it out to the water bath to pan. No way to ever escape panning!
It was much easier for me to just buy a Gold Nugget from someone who found huge ones... Stupid me, bought a small one instead of a big one... I'm still kicking myself for not buying one of the bigger ones...
Big one always have more value, you can get three times spot on a good sized one!
Years later, I made up for it with Gold Coins...
Those are always great!
