RE: The good side of being a perfectionist.

I have been diagnosed as a perfectionist as part of my personallity (cluster C).

Being a perfectionist generally is something that does help you as you always deliver. Employers often want people with these skills in good positions.

The downside of being a perfectionist is that you are too hard for yourself, have trouble to find relaxation - also generally you would be risk averse (as the complete picture can always find a few uncontrolable variables).

Perfectionists risk burn out and depression as they set the bar so high and therefore will experience failure more often (even if the outcome is very good, they can still see it as a failure).

From schematherapy you can learn that the perfectionist often has a very strong “Critical Parent modi” that gives them the feeling they need to proof themselves in order to feel “good enough”

If you are really experience yourself as a perfectionist, I could definitly recommand schematherapy as it can really help you in looking at yourself from a milder perspective!
