Battle of The Week
First let's take a look at the ruleset, because it can cause a major impact on the game. First rules is the close range where the ranger can attack from first position, this could be a boost for any range monster because they can attack from the front. The second rules is no armor, this mean all physical attack have a boost because they won't face any armor that block their attack.
I personally trying to take an advantage of the ruleset by put physical assasin that attack the backline with the sneak ability, with pelacor and uraeus that could land 7 damage in 1 turn plus a chance for a poison by the uraeus.
My enemies, on the other side, is trying the simple strategy by trying to get the oshanus to wipe everything with the help of martyr ability.
Battle Result
My team win the match with just losing single monster on the front.
My enemies failed to reach the martyr oshanus, because my attack were focus to aim the backline. The speed bonus from summoner and high speed from the monster itself cause my enemies are failed to survive.
Strategy Talk
As the cover title, we are going to talk about the contrass strategy that can be used on low mana cap ruleset. The Giant vs Little monsters.
First let's talk about the giant strategy. By having the giant monster, people often expect them to wipe everyone with their super stats and ability, that cause the little monster have no chance to eliminate that giant. This strategy are very famous on the old splinterlands game, with the combination of Llama and Kron is the super META that day. Llama that gives last stand effect, combined with the kron that already having high health and magic damage, plus regen ability, causes most little monster can't beat them. Very few combination on low mana ruleset are able to beat them, especially using tiny monsters.
This strategy are heavily depend on the giant ability, with the regen ability is the most favourite ability that cause the tiny monster just keep hitting without eliminating, especially when the giant could evade some monsters. Another ability such as bloodlust is the key ability because while eliminating little monster 1 by 1, the giant keep getting bigger and bigger. Quora is the perfect example of it. The other way is having super fast giant, that could evade almost all attack while eliminating enemies. This is what my enemies trying to do with the Oshanus, but won't work, why ? Let's talk about the tiny strategic.
The tiny strategy is put as much little monster to waste enemies attack, while hit them with as much attack or effective attack. This strategy is pretty effective especially on high league or high level monster, because those tiny monster are now very usefull with upgraded stats and ability. You can combine those ability to bring deadly or effective strategy that hard to beat. This is what happened on my match, where my tiny monster are now having high enough health and damage plus usefull ability that could beat the enemies.
Conclussion
There is 2 contrass strategy on low mana cap ruleset. One man show with giant strategy is usefull when used on low mana cap ruleset with low level league limit, with regen ability and bloodlust is the usefull ability needed, especially with last stand help, such as the llama kron combination. On the other side, the many tiny monster strategy could bring many ability on high level monster and are able to handle the giant with upgraded stats and ability. You can have many monster as a decoy and damager plus many combination of ability for better strategy.
In the end, the other ruleset could change the battle result, so don't forget to take a look at it !
