What is Moon Karts?
Moonkarts has been talk a lot recently, but in case you are not aware of it, let me give simple explanation about this game before we talk to main topics. Moon Karts is classic kart racing genre likes mario cart which combined with blockchain technology. This is an enjoyable and financially rewarding game where we can modify our karts and improve it's performance. We can also give them some power ups to make the race even more interesting, which is what we are gonna learn on this post.
Speed is Not Everything
When we are talking about a race, our mind would automatically linked with speed, cause it's about who is faster to reach the finish line. But there is much more that we need to learn beside the speed. There is handle to make a smooth turn and beside the karts specification, there is power ups that can cause trouble to your enemies, which could slow them down and give you chance to lead the race.
Power Ups on Moonkarts
Now here is the main topics, there are several power ups on the Moonkarts :

#4. Cosmic Disruptor
#5. Moonfire Missile
#6. Lunar Barrier
Let's go to the details, which we can check from the my item menu on the moonkarts game !
1st. The Celestial Thrust
This power up can boost our speed on a short duration. This power up is very effective to be used on long straight street on the race, cause you might get trouble for the handle with the very high speed. Use them wisely and you can overtake your opponent in a blink of an eye !
For the details stats for each of them, I use the information that once shared on the discord by drzoom, it's written on the spreadsheet which we can all access on https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lHgn5eWKZQjAJiOQPjCV0RxYUNkSGbNA/edit?pli=1&gid=439645424#gid=439645424
For the 1st level, it said can improve our speed by 10% with 15s coldown and 2s duration, and on max level can improve our speed by 40% with 5s duration and 10s cooldown. Such a great power ups !
I also tried this power up with my own cards as a demo which shown at below's gif. As result, my karts with max speed at 228 is improved into 320 for 2 seconds. This mean I can 92 speed addition or 40.35 % ! I don't know if there is a bug or miss information, but at my experiment, it's giving massive speed guys !

2nd. Lunar Bolt
Since this is the only power ups I don't own, I will cite it from @libertycrypto27 's post on https://peakd.com/hive-146620/@libertycrypto27/moon-karts-focus-on-power-ups-engita-e2k
It said that this power ups can be used to disable a karts. Can we still control the karts ? And it also said can target and strikes a specific opponen, can we really chose a specific target ? I can't answer it yet cause I still haven't try it.
Based on the spreadsheet I mentioned above, it can reduce the enemies speed and the handle with the details as above. Sorry guys, no demo from me for this one cause I don't own this NFT. It's price is higher than the other when I check the market and bought some power ups few days ago.

3rd. Lunar Glide
Now here is some traps things, we can use them to make the enemies slipped during the race, which can be effectively used just before a deadly turn of the track.
This power ups said can be used to slow down and reduce the enemies handling points with the rate as shown above. The cooldown is relatively low so you can use them few times to aim the turns. Here is the demo where I use it and then the example of karts that is past on it.

4th. Cosmic Disruptor
Now there is a power ups that needs to be used nearby the opponent karts. Unlike the other where we can use them anywhere, this cosmic disruptor only effect enemies when they are near us. So this power ups probably only effective when the gap of us and the enemies is thight, and you might never able to use it if your enemies lead for long distance.
I only have a demo of how to use it and how big the area of it.
Based on the spreadsheet, it can disable the karts for few second and reduce their acceleration. Despite the challenge for using it, it looks like this kart is having great impact to disturb your enemy.

5th. Moonfire Missile
Now here comes the pain in the *ss power ups, this missiles can dropped the loot that is collected by your enemies. And since there is leaderboard from the orbitals collected, and the colony received for collect them on the race, this could cause your enemies need to decide wether let the loot go or make a backward move to collect them back, especially when it's already on 3rd lap where there are often no more orbitals or colony left to collect.
Considering the annoying effect, this power ups have quite high cooldown time. It also reduce the enemies handling at some points.
Here is a demo combined with the failed use of barrier which cause the loot is dropped from enemies.
There is only gold foil version currently available on the market at $25 when this post is created. Sorry guys, I bought all 3 of the regular version available few days ago 😂
6th. Lunar Barrier
Man, there are so many "weapon" available that we already talk, now here is the protection we can get to make our kart safe from those annoying power ups from the enemies.
It can protect us from the enemies power up for 2s until 5s with very high cooldown, so we need to use it carefully
I am a bit lost on the experiment, cause even if I get the timing right, my loot still lost.
My 2nd try, still dropped the loot. Looks like they are only protect the kart from the effect of reduce stats but not dropping the loot. But I will try to share it on the discord for more information.
