🖊️ COMMENTARY
_Paul The story of the Samaritan woman whom Jesus converted at the well of Sychar is a popular story within the Christian space. Our current interest is the woman's reaction once her eyes were opened to realize that it was the Messiah she had been arguing with. Once Jesus said, "I that speak unto thee, I am He," her spiritual eyes were opened. She left her pot and ran home to broadcast the news of her encounter.
What was her message? It was a one-sentence declaration:
"Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?" (John 4:29). How could this statement be enough to bother busy men on a busy day and stop them from their engagements and follow the woman in search of a stranger? The way we share the word of God today may contribute to people's lack of interest in our message. Some people preach at street corners without passion. Who will take you seriously if you are not serious? How can you offer joy, hope, peace and life when you look the opposite?
If we have met the Lord, we will be changed beyond recognition. No wonder a song writer sang and said:
"... He touched me, oh, He touched me
And oh, the joy that floods my soul
Something happened, and now I know
He touched me, and made me whole."_

My God, open my eyes to see and know You so that the revelation will transform my spiritual life.
