NEW SPLINTERLANDS BATTLE UI & TESTING MY UPGRADED QUORA TOWERSHEAD

in FreeComplimentsyesterday

Hello, Splinterlands warriors! This time, I want to share an exciting battle experience from the Splinterlands arena. Additionally, as part of this week’s social media challenge, I’ll share my thoughts on the game’s new interface update. So, let’s dive right in!

Earlier today, in my timezone, I logged in as usual to check my daily quest and continue climbing in Modern Ranked battles. As soon as I entered the battle menu, I noticed something different. Splinterlands had just rolled out an updated arena interface, and honestly, I was pretty impressed.

Now, the ruleset information has moved to the top-right corner, while the “Battle” or “Skip” buttons are at the top center. Additionally, the card icons have been redesigned to look simpler yet remain informative. It felt like stepping into a more modern version of the game, although it did take a bit of time to adjust. Overall, it’s a refreshing and enjoyable change for me.

NEW ARENA, NEW STRATEGY

On to the battle! This time, I encountered a challenging ruleset: Target Practice, Noxious Fumes, and Are You Not Entertained. With the Earth element available, I immediately got the idea to try out my newly upgraded QUORA TOWERSHEAD. Yes, QUORA TOWERSHEAD now has the Immunity ability! I’ve been waiting for a moment like this to test her after previously highlighting this upgrade in my post.

My strategy was simple but bold. I placed PELACOR MERCENARY at the front as the tank. Behind him, I positioned QUORA TOWERSHEAD, flanked by two Martyr monsters: VENARI MARKSRAT and FUNGUS FLINGER. Supporting them were KATRELBA GOBSON for support damage and QUILLIUN LEGIONARY to fill out the formation. With this setup, I hoped the Martyr effect would maximize QUORA TOWERSHEAD’s damage output amidst the toxic atmosphere of the Noxious Fumes ruleset.

AN INTENSE BATTLE

As the battle began, I realized my opponent had a similar strategy. They also brought QUORA TOWERSHEAD, but theirs wasn’t upgraded yet. At first, I thought this would be a significant advantage for me, but it turned out to be more challenging than expected. My opponent’s GOBLIN PSYCHIC had the Silence ability, reducing QUORA TOWERSHEAD’s magic damage output slightly. On top of that, their monsters had high health, making it feel like an uphill battle to take them down.

However, the tides started turning in round three. The Martyr effect from VENARI MARKSRAT and FUNGUS FLINGER had activated, significantly boosting QUORA TOWERSHEAD’s magic damage. Meanwhile, the Noxious Fumes gradually wore down my opponent’s monsters, helping me close the power gap.

Finally, the highlight moment arrived: my QUORA TOWERSHEAD faced off directly against their QUORA TOWERSHEAD!

It felt like a duel of heroes. With the Immunity I had, their QUORA TOWERSHEAD couldn’t withstand my counterattacks. One hit was all it took to bring their QUORA TOWERSHEAD down. From there, I methodically eliminated their remaining monsters, securing a well-fought victory.

CONCLUSIONS AND LESSONS

This battle taught me that card upgrades truly make a huge impact on the battlefield. QUORA TOWERSHEAD with Immunity is a game-changer in rulesets like Noxious Fumes. Another critical lesson is to never underestimate debuffs like Silence, as they can disrupt your grand strategy.

As for the new Splinterlands interface, I absolutely love it. The game feels fresher and more modern, though there are a few changes to get used to. If you haven’t tried the new UI yet, I recommend logging in and experiencing it for yourself.
