Keep on hustling
Hello everyone!
Today I have a day off at work as I work 90%. I know it's kind of an odd regime but it's possible and I really enjoy to have that day off. The best part is thqt I still get paid fulltime as I do these hours on my other workdays. That way, I have a day off every two weeks. As an employee, I really enjoy that concept! Anyway, that gives me the time to continue my search for a side hustle. One of the side hustles I have recently looked into was the one of mystery shopping.
For those of you who aren't aware what mystery shopping exactly entails: you have to visit and/or contact a store and do as if you are interested in buying something while following a protocol. This way, stores check if their employees follow the protocols when a new customer appears. That way, they could evaluate and improve their services.
When I first heard about it, I was a bit skeptical. In the past, when I used to be a student. I've searched for similar side hustles as well but they never paid out / were scams to grab my contact details / looked sketchy so never went too deep into it. Recently I saw a local website promoting their search for mystery shoppers. I checked out their reviews and website. It all looked quite okay, so I decided to leqve behind my contacting details. I received an automated email that my demand to participate was well received and that I would soon be contacted.
Effectively a couple of days later, I received an email wih the opportunities they had for the month of March. As I have never done it before, I decided to answer that I was a candidat for one task. That way I could try it out without having to do too much. Last week, I received an email that I was effectively been chosen. Gotcha, I secured my first task. I received an email with the testprotocol and the details I had to know. Everything seemed clear to me. I ofcourse won't disclose any details but it's a task where I have to make an appointment for a specific store and than evaluate how fast they come back to me.
Today, I have made my first appointments so we'll see how fast I get reaction. It's still quite some work, so don't see this as passive income. But if they eventually end up paying, it would be an okay amount of money for the amount of time I put in. The biggest difficulty will be to manage the different stores I have to contact without mixing them. I'll keep an excel document to be sure I don't mix them through eachother. That way, I should be able to perform my tasks following the given protocols.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy reading these articles about side hustling and don't forget, keep on hustling!
I have considered mystery shopping in the past ... definitely interested in hearing about your results!
I hope to complete my first task at latest next week, will definitely do a follow-up post when finished and effectively paid! :)
