I usually don't write about crypto as I wouldn't consider myself an expert by far. So take this article with a grain of salt. But as I see a lot of articles lately about a bullrun without an altseason etc., I thought it would be a good idea to write down my beliefs. It isn't based on technical analysis or other triggers, just my beliefs. In previous posts, I have always said that I would start to power down slme Hive Power once Hive reaches the price of $1. I kept believing it would hit that target one day.
Nowadays, I still believe that it will happen and I still don't have an idea when the moment will be there. Yes, I know, bitcoin climbed massively in January but hey, so did Hive. It didn't reach $1 but still climbed decently. Yes, I will just try to accumulate as much Hive Power as possible. As I wrote in my targets post a couple of days ago, my main focus will be to grow Hive Power with nearly no buying of secondary tokens. Hive is still rather small in cryptoworld. When you look at Coinmarketcap, we aren't among the 200 biggest in terms of marketcap. Thus the second layer projects on Hive are even just a fraction of that. That's the main reason I will focus on Hive Power. Ofcourse it's just my personal opinion so do your own reasoning about your goals.
Yes, I think Hive will hit the $1 mark sooner or later. The crypto adoption is growing but as we've seen in the past, it comes with peeks and valleys. With all the uncertainty in the world going on, I wouldn't be surprised if all in a sudden another peak will be there. Once the train is rolling, it's hard to stop it! Accumulating Hive Power means writing quality content to be able to earn eventually some upvotes. Another aspect is curation. I try to curate myself but follow a curation trail as well to be sure my Hive Power is utilised in a good way. I don't earn that much (yet) from curation but step by step it should grow.
Another great addition to my Hive Power are HSBI. They are kind of a basic income which will upvote your articles as long as you keep writing articles. There's a built in mechanism though to prevent abuse if you would just spam articles. Anyways, it's a great way to build these up as they will help you to grow your stack of Hive Power and thus your influence on the chain. Ofcourse we are by far no whales and I will never be able to become one but still. It would be really great if I could grow my stack decently. 25k Hive Power in 5 years should be doable. The biggest risk is that I would lack consistency.
Which target do you have in mind for Hive? What would be possible in the near future?

The alt-coins on Hive Engine crashed. However, the tokenomics of the surviving coins are solid. I would not be surprised to see several coins like #CENT and #POB outperforming HIVE.

At this moment I don't have much trust in 2nd layer tokens on Hive. The amount of people holding Hive isn't that big. Looking at the amount of people holding hive engine tokens, it's a rather small population.
=> I prefer to stick to Hive instead of small he tokens. Although I admit that chanches are that q couple of he tokens would outperform hive. Though from a risk-bendfits perspective, it's not worth it (for me)
