Just like every other week, this week's entry has given our ears enough pleasure. I've seen lots of entries and performances, just enough to keep us glued to our screens. It's a beautiful thing seeing how this week's theme has a great influence on not only the artists but we, the listeners. It brings this nostalgic feeling to our doorsteps, reminding us of certain clips and scenarios of our lives.
Vibes Competition, Week 29, indeed has something special about it. As the weeks progress, I see more and more entertaining entries. If you think you just heard the most beautiful voice in the world or watched the most amazing performance of the century... well, I'm here to tell you that there's always another entry you would find better than the former. This is what makes the competition quite interesting, and trust me when I say that Week 29 is an embodiment of all the surprises you can encounter in the music world.
An exceptional entry that caught my attention was one by @moses08
With the title "Un-Break My Heart" by Toni Braxton.
Prior to now, I've never really heard a song by Toni Braxton until today—or, let's just say I'm not really a fan.
Well, this is what a cover should feel like. I was tempted to look up the song the moment I heard it, and yeah... it's been added to my playlist.
I love the emotions his voice conveyed. I like the expressions. The transitions from one note to another seemed quite seamless and smooth. You can obviously tell he isn't new to singing and has had great expertise when it comes to public performance. All the elements of a typical musician were present.
The dressing, hairstyle, and background definitely blended into the performance. We had just enough to keep us thirsting for more. I wished the performance could have been about five minutes, to be honest—it's what a good performance can make you feel.
It's almost the end of the week, and I'm pretty sure we're yet to see more thrilling entries. I'd be on the lookout for more amazing entries. Will you?
Let's wait and watch. Can't wait for the top six to be unveiled. It'll be a tough decision, a really hard one, but someone's just gotta win, right?
The question is: Who would that be??
