Vibes Web3 music Competition week#9. For this week, I'll be singing a song by Billie Eilish. "Everything I wanted".
Some days ago, I was having a little chat with my younger sister and we got talking about this particular song, I told her I'd be making a cover for it this week, but I'll do it differently.
I did a little freestyle for her and she said she didn't like it. She said some songs don't need to be altered, you just have to sing them the same way the artist did.
Well I disagree with her a thousand times, I believe music is all about expressing yourself.
I believe music is an art and you're the artist so you can do whatever you want, Just make it beautiful and be creative lol.
(Feels like I just gave a little speech here😂😂, I really don't know what I just said but you get the point yh? Lol)
I listened to a few covers and did mine too, I hope you like my version of this song.

Great decision on deciding to sing it your own way. You did a fantastic job once again with your beautiful live performance singing. When I view Cover Entries. I base it off a multitude of things but two main factors are always present...

And the second question I ask myself is,
Yes you succeeded in such with your minor subtle changes that showcase your singing style. It was another pleasure to watch and listen to.
Sometimes our siblings just have a different opinion and that's okay, we don't always have to listen to them, especially regarding our own musical path...
I remember when I was practicing piano 8 hours a day in the evening and my older sister would tell me to please stop, that I was horrible at it and I wasn't getting any better. Lol now fastforward to today, each time we see each other and there is a piano, she will ask me nicely if I could please play something for her and the family, haha good thing I didn’t listen to her back then and get discouraged and stop my passion for music. Keep pushing forward and inspiring others with your gifts, I am looking towards your next entry :)

Exactly, that's just how it is, everyone has an opinion about everything. I'm glad I didn't listen to her, coz for a moment I got discouraged. After recording and showing her the video, she said it was nice too😅.
Aww really 😅, I guess that also motivated you in a way? You know it hits different when your sibling challenges you or tells you that you aren't good at a particular thing,(siblings are always annoying) you'd always want to prove them wrong , and when you succeed, they end up appreciating and celebrating your efforts and hard work even more.

I love how your voice texture and style fits every song you choose to sing. I think this was beautifully done....If there's anything I've learnt about music, it's ensuring that we own any song we chose to sing....
