Greetings, Vibes people! It’s a pleasure to meet with you on the occasion of week 28 of this wonderful web3 music contest. I'm happy to share with you today a multi-instrumental cover made with a lot of good vibes.
For this occasion I bring you a cover on electroacoustic guitar with electric guitar effects thanks to the App. Guitar Rig, making both the rhythmic part and some complements. In the same way I play the bass; it is worth mentioning that unfortunately my drums now don’t have cymbals, so I took the track of the song and extracted only the original drums with the App. Moises to use it as an accompaniment for my own instruments and vocals.
This is the song Taking Over Me, by the American alternative metal band Evanescence, from the album Fallen, released in 2003. The lyrics of this song tell us about an internal struggle against pain and disillusionment, in which the protagonist of the story is about to succumb to her fears and frustrations, however, deep down she would like to face her reality and not evade the harsh situation. In an interview the band's vocalist Amy Lee commented that the song is inspired by a personal situation in her youth in which she came to experience great anxiety. I hope you like my presentation.
¡Saludos, gente de Vibes! Un placer reunirme con ustedes en ocasión de la semana 28 de este maravilloso concurso musical de la web3. Estoy contenta de compartir hoy con ustedes un cover multiinstrumental hecho con mucha buena vibra.
Para esta ocasión les traigo un cover en guitarra electroacústica con efectos de guitarra eléctrica gracias a la App. Guitar Rig, haciendo tanto la parte rítmica como algunos complementos. Del mismo modo toco el bajo; cabe mencionar que lamentablemente mi batería ahora no cuenta con platillos, así que tomé la pista de la canción y extraje solo la batería original con la App. Moises para usarla de acompañamiento de mis propios instrumentos y voz.
Se trata de la canción Taking Over Me, de la banda de metal alternativo estadounidense Evanescence, perteneciente al álbum Fallen, publicado en el año 2003. La letra de esta canción nos habla de una lucha interna contra el dolor y la desilusión, en la que la protagonista de la historia se encuentra a punto de sucumbir ante sus miedos y frustraciones, sin embargo esta persona en el fondo desearía enfrentar su realidad y no evadir la fuerte situación. En una entrevista la vocalista de la banda Amy Lee comentó que la canción está inspirada en una situación personal de su juventud en la que llegó a experimentar una gran ansiedad.
