Hello music lovers. Welcome to August.
It's Vibes Web 3.0 Music Competition, Week 17 and for my entry, I did the cover of the song "JESUS TAKE THE WILL" by Carrie Underwood.
Earlier this year, I decided to bring my musical talent to Hive to share some music covers and also my original songs which I blogged about. I wasn't certain of the music community to post my songs and covers because I needed guidance and feedback on my performance to help me improve.
Being a part of the Vibes Community among talented artists and taking part in the weekly competition has been helpful, thanks to @lordbutterfly, for creating the community and the initiative of this weekly competition, @silentscreamer and @verbal-d for being wonderful judges. The feedback and suggestions from VerbalD on my previous performance have improved my singing, and I'm grateful for that.
I decided to perform this song this week because it was the first song I sang on stage at an event in the university. I had told myself this year that it would be the first song I would perform in a studio before my birthday which happens to be today (2nd August) to have the feeling of being on stage again.
You would like to know what happened to me at the event, I almost did not perform the song.
I rehearsed the song and pictured myself giving a great performance. On that day, I appeared in a long pink gown and the mic was given to me. I sat with the audience at the back of the hall to walk majestically to the stage while singing. Guess what?

Yeah, that was the only lyric I could remember in front of everyone 😂. I went over again and that was all I could remember. Winanda couldn't give up. Thank God there was a projector and Laptop that were in use so I walked up to the person controlling it and pleaded with him to project the lyrics for me on the screen to enable me to perform the song and that was it.
As I saw the lyrics, I remembered it and delivered a great performance. I received good remarks and a cash gift.
"Jesus Take The Wheel" is a song that reminds us to look unto Jesus for help in difficult situations knowing that once He is in control everything will be alright. So in any difficult situation, have faith in Jesus and hand it all to Him because He won't fail you. We hear about the miracles people have experienced and we must have had ours. It can only be God.
