I thought I was going to bring one of my originals this week but while searching for some videos on YouTube (not related to music), I found the short video of Still Waters, I watched and listened to it and fell in love with it. Could it be because its lyrics speak about Psalm 23 which is one of the Psalms I love and often pray with? Obviously.
We are humans and that makes us imperfect, so we go on our journeys into the unknown and fear creeps in, even though we are aware that God is with us, some times the enemy wants to cloud our minds with fear so that we fail, he hates it when we are spiritually strong and have full trust in God.
Whenever I feel like I am having doubts, I remember God's words and promises and I am strengthened again. I had to work on my mindset knowing that it is through it I create my reality and so I don't have to reach my goal before having the feeling of achieving it, I believe I can and will achieve it when I hand it over to God to be in charge.
I secure my thoughts with positivity even when things are going wrong and guess what? As I was done editing my Hive + Vibes promotional video, it refused to export, my phone was acting up and I started smiling because why will it act up? I was calm and kept trying and I gave it time and said if it passes that time, I will forget about this week's entry but I still believed it would be fixed and I tried for the last time and it worked.
I moved on to edit my entry and the negative and positive conversation in my mind began, then I smiled.
- Me: This shouldn't take me time to edit and get it done.
- Negative thoughts: But this video is longer than the promotional video, what if there is a hitch?
- Me: It doesn't matter, it won't act up, as long as it worked for the promo video that means I am not meant to miss my entry for week 23.
That was how I sealed that conversation in my mind. I believe you also have such negative and positive thoughts but how it is handled matters a lot for the result you seek.
It might sound funny but I offer everything to God to handle for me, as little as anything you can imagine, at times I rush into doing things but when I remember, I hand it into His care and when things go wrong I believe it's for a positive reason, to strengthen me, to find more opportunities in that situation. Honestly, it's a beautiful thing to position your mind this way, you'll have peace of mind.
I had fun singing and recording this video and I connected well with it. I imagined I was in a garden with beautiful flowers to shoot this video and connect with nature and gaze into the sky, it would have been beautiful.
I sang the song and added a twist to it and I hope you would love it 🥺. I'm glad I made it this week and I hope to connect with more singers in the community.
