What if God were human, what would you do? No, let's have it this way: If you could see God and speak to Him face to face, how would you want to relate with Him?
I'm sure you would have an endless list of questions to ask Him. You would want to speak with Him every minute to get things right and live a life that would please Him. He isn't far from us, and He left us with His promises to hold onto. We could even hear His voice if we were attentive.
Last week I performed Still Waters by Leanna Crawford and you may be wondering why I decided to perform another song by the same Singer/Songwriter, well, that's because I fell in love with her songs and they are relatable.
For this week, I chose to perform "Honest" by Leanna Crawford which resonates with me and I'm sure you will also connect with the song when you listen to the lyrics.
"Honest" speaks about faith and trust in God in times of doubt (similar to what I discussed in my previous performance but with a difference). At times I long to have a one-on-one talk with God where I can see His face and sometimes I sit in my quiet time and imagine having a conversation with Him.
Years ago, during the period of one of the secret storms I experienced, I was helpless, I could not pray even when I desired to. I could only sing songs to express myself to God and even composed some songs during that period. There were days I visited the Chapel to be in His presence, still couldn't pray, lay on the floor alone in the Chapel with all tears for His consolation and direction. I thought I lost Him and the grace to communicate with Him, I needed assurance.
I remember saying in tears:
"Lord Jesus, help me (as I couldn't pray that period). Will You help me? I have no one else to turn to. You have to help me. I know You will help me (but the tears couldn't stop)."
I poured out my heart like an innocent child in need of help. I knew He wouldn't leave me unaided but I was weak. It felt like it was taking time for Him to come to my aid, but His time is always the best.
I was like a baby whose tears and pains could not be understood by any human, only God knew and only He could console me and yes He did.
He took me through a phase of transformation, before I knew it, I was happy again with a renewed me.
