My rendition for this week is a song from one of my favorite artists, Dolly Parton. The title of the song is "Coat of many Colors". This song to me has remained one of the songs that I consider as timeless.
The artist reminisces her youthful age , her mother's love and the self-confidence she had.
This song had inspired me while growing up. I learnt that I do not have to listen to other people's opinions of me but I should hold myself in high self-esteem. I take my inspiration from the lines that say, "But they didn't understand it and I tried to make them see that one is only poor only if they choose to be".
I hope this song finds its way to make you smile āŗļø
