Vibes Web3 Music Competition Wk 29 || Killing Me Softly🎵🎶

Hello, Guys

It’s yet another week for the Vibes web3 music competition, and the theme this week is so exciting. You need to have seen me scouting for a song to learn.

Funny enough, listening to 90’s music made me realize that the 90’s wasn’t so far away from when I was born. 😭 I don’t know whether to laugh or cry at that piece of information.

In one way it feels good to be so close to the 90’s, but then it also means that we are—well, I AM—getting old, and getting old quick.

Anyways, I chose the song “Killing Me Softly With His Song,” the version of the song performed by Roberta Flack. I understand that it was originally sung by Lauryn Hill, and her version was just as amazing, if not more.

I had a lot of fun performing this, even though my mic put me on the verge of going insane. Have you ever experienced this thing where you finally sing your song from beginning to end, with no mistakes, only to find out that your mic wasn’t plugged in?

Yeah, this happened an embarrassing number of times, but we’ll leave that in the past 🙂🙂
