Friends, I am back once again with a new mode of Asphalt Nitro game. This time I have participated in the weekly competition and the mode that I have come across is Infected mode. I have made a video on this mode before but at that time I played the game against offline boats but this time I am playing the game with real players. The racing track on which I am going to race is Italy Reverse. I might have raced on this track before but I might not have played this mode on this racing track.
A total of five players are participating in this race and this time I have the highest rating. Maybe I will get some advantage from this thing, although all the vehicles are of the same model so there will not be much difference in the top speed.
The race had started and as soon as the race started, the infection timer started. If you don't know about this timer, then let me tell you that in this mode, a timer starts and the car which is at the end gets infected. When the car gets infected, its color changes from original to green. One advantage of getting infected is that you get unlimited nitrogen boost but the disadvantage is that if the infection gets overloaded then the car gets destroyed and by the time it takes to recover, the opponent cars overtake it. If a car is running normally and it touches an infected car, then that normal car also gets infected. If the infection is about to get overloaded, then a timer starts for that too. If the station wants, then it can increase the timer like by hitting other cars or by performing some stunt.
When I started the race I was in the last position but I increased my speed and came to the third position. However I had no problem in being in the fifth position because my car would get infected and I would get the perk of unlimited nitro. But I went ahead of the other cars and the car which was at the last got infected. About a few seconds later that car infected my car as well. It did this by hitting it from behind. As soon as my car got infected I gave full nitro boost but unfortunately there was a dangerous turn and my car hit the variating and the car got destroyed there. By the time the car took time to recover all the other players had gone ahead and I was still in the fifth position.
I could clearly see on the map that only the racer in front of me was infected and the rest of the players were still in normal mode. I was increasing the speed but the racer in the fourth position was also running at full speed and it was difficult for me to overtake him. But after a while I came close to him and hit him hard from behind. I got the benefit here that my car's infection time increased and his car got wrecked & I had reached to the fourth position.
After going a little further, the rest of the vehicles were in normal mode. I hit all three of them one by one and infected them. I got about 30 seconds more bonus time for hitting them, which was enough for me. I had gone ahead after hitting all three of them and came to the first position. In the gif file given below, you can see how I infected all these vehicles at once and moved ahead.
I overtook all those cars and went ahead and was driving with full nitro boost. On the map, I could see that those three infected cars were coming behind me at a very high speed. Ahead, I saw that there was barricading and jump ramps were spread on the entire road. I thought that there might be a river ahead, that is why they have made so many jumps. I jumped over those jump ramps with full speed and when I was in the air, I saw that a car was coming from behind me and I hit that car in the air. This would be the first experience of this game when I hit a car in the air. When we landed on the ground, that car went behind me and I went ahead of it. Maybe his car was not destroyed but his car got hit a little bit.
Now I was driving the car with the same speed. The road that was coming ahead was very curvy and I was having a lot of trouble driving on such a road. After a while I saw that the overload timer had started and I felt that now my car was going to recover. I tried to increase the timer but did not get any chance to increase the timer. I got some nitro cylinders which increased the timer by just one second. But there was no significant benefit and after some time the infection got overloaded and my car came to normal mode. When the car came to normal mode, the car which was in the fourth position was still in normal mode and had overtaken me. But the rest of the cars were all in infected mode. When I was in the second position, at this time the car in the third position hit me from behind again and my car got infected again.
When my car got infected , I was already in the fourth position. There was not much gap between all the racers and at this time I hit the two cars in front of me back to back and came to the third position. After that I overtook the racer in the first position and came to the first position. All the cars I hit were infected and were running at full speed. When I looked at the map, the car in the second position was running right behind me but the rest of the cars were at a little distance.
Now I was still in the first position and after a while the infection overload times started and I was feeling that it can start anytime. When the timer started, my attention was diverted and the two cars behind me had overtaken me and gone ahead. However, both those cars were infected, so if the effect of infection overload was on me, it would be on them too. The timer was over and my car had become infection overloaded. Now when I recovered, I saw that I had come to the fifth position and it could only see the car in the fourth position in front of it. With this, the infection timer had also started and my car was just about to get infected. When my car became infected mode, then I drove the car with full speed and jumped the car, so in the air itself I had overtaken two more cars and reached the third position.
The timer ended and my car was overloaded with infection and went into recovery mode. When the car came out of recovery mode, all the cars had overtaken me and then a car came from behind and hit me and my car got infected. After all, I wanted my car to get infected so that I could get some speed. After a while, I saw that the cars that had overtaken me came from behind at full speed and hit a car in front of me and knocked it down.
I had overtaken all those vehicles and moved ahead and I started thinking that the race is about to end and the checkpoint is about to come because the lap I had completed before this was almost close to this place. Now the only fear in my mind was that some vehicle might overtake me because if it overtakes me then it is obvious that it will come to the checkpoint. I was driving at full speed and the road was also fine so I did not have any problem but then I saw that the racer in the second position behind me overtook me and went ahead.
The mistake was that there was a slight turn and while trying to drift there, I mistakenly applied the brakes and the brakes were applied a bit too much due to which the speed of the car reduced a bit and the racer coming from behind got the advantage of it.
When I looked at the map, it was right in front of me and to tell you the truth, I had lost hope here because I was sure that the racer who had overtaken me today would win. I could clearly see the check point in front and could also clearly see the first positioned racer. Then what happened, no one would believe it. I saw that suddenly his car overturned on the road and it was almost near the check point. I drove at full speed and crossed the check point and won this race. In fact, I would have hardly achieved such a victory before and all this happened within two seconds of the end because you people can see how he was very close to the check point and suddenly the infection in his car got overloaded and when the infection gets overloaded, the car overturns and I got the benefit of this thing. I have also attached the gif file of this last scene and you guys can see how I won in the end.
Finally I had won this race and to be honest, the fun I had in this game was like no other level before this and the twist that happened at the end is beyond description. It is a cool concept. Getting unlimited boost is great in case of infection but not overloading and getting destroyed is crucial too. The balance is important and that's I think what makes it fun.
The option of overloading and destroying is crucial, but I won in this gameplay, it is because of that option that the racer ahead of me who was about to reach the checkpoint, his car got overloaded and destroyed a few meters before the checkpoint. I got a lot of benefit from this option.
