RE: Geometry Dash

Music
Most levels have fast-paced EDM “video game music” constantly playing in the background. However, this is the first game I've played where the music itself usually lines up exactly what needs to be accomplished. The player can memorize what they need to do next based on the beat of the music at that moment, making it an interesting mix of sound that directly affects the actual gameplay in an extremely significant way.

I should recommend you try: https://store.steampowered.com/app/247080/Crypt_of_the_NecroDancer/

You'll probably like it if you follow this rhythm, it's a less frenetic game than Geometry Dash, after all you have a while to try and get the rhythm right. And it's not so much “die, lose everything”, since the game has a Roguelite feel to it.
