I was thinking of getting back to some gaming, especially now that my screen completely gave up and I got a new smaller one, which seems to have fixed the issues I used to have with artifacts, which I kept blaming my GPU for. Maybe it's @bozz often reminding me of D4, but I decided to go ahead and install it and give it a go. Of course, it'd be hardcore mode.
I was surprised before I started recording when I was setting up the graphic settings and things to notice that D4 has raytracing now which seems to have improved the quality by quite a lot, although I haven't really played it in over a year so doubtful if I could tell a big difference from memory, but I'm sure there's videos out there mentioning the differences.
Either way, I decided to play a barbarian, female for the smaller model so it's not as annoying and in the way when playing. Went for a seasonal character as well but can't say I noticed much of what the current season is offering as I started leveling up and doing random dungeons that'd reward my class with some extra perks.
No voiceover in this one as I'm still setting up things here after moving my setup downstairs. Luckily no crazy super wide-screen this time however so everyone will be able to view it in proper full-screen mode!
At the end of the video I decided to switch things up a bit from the usual hard-mode which gives you like 75% increased xp to a higher difficulty, things turned out as expected with that. :D

Watching your barbarian made me dizzy it's a lot of spinning.
My Diablo story; Back in 1999 I was a Sergeant in the 10th Mountain Division (Infantry), and we were getting ready to deploy to Bosnia as part of a stabilization, peacekeeping mission. Our zone was near the Croatian border at town called Brcko.
I bought a laptop to take with me to do some gaming and pass the time when we weren't on patrol. I forget the other games I had but I loaded Diablo before I deployed.
We had one room which Non-Commissioned Officers shared, and I set up a small desk near my cot with the laptop. My laptop ended up getting used to play Diablo 24-7, the other soldiers even made a sign up list to play when I wasn't using it. Probably the most bang for the buck I've ever gotten from a game - there were about two dozen soldiers playing Diablo on my laptop during the deployment. There was no wireless internet in our camp our significant internet at the time - and laptops were still relatively uncommon - so entertainment was golden.
Haha dang yeah, I didn't play diablo much but I played the 2nd version a bit and mostly 3rd.
That sounds like a ton of fun though way back then!
I was looking really hard at D4 again, but I decided to go with the early access for Path of Exile 2. I ended up spending more than I probably would have for D4, but it seems to be a really good game so far. Even though they are still working on it, it feels really polished.
POE wasn't available in this region so assumed POE2 the same, haven't checked however.
Oh wow, that sucks. I was able to use some USDC and buy one of the early access packs. I think they are still a few months away from the free version being out. Might be worth checking out if you can when it is released.
I used to play Diablo a few years ago. I think the game's narrative is really good.
In most games I prefer to play as a mage but I can see why two handed warrior or a barbarian would be appealing. I believe I played dark souls as a two handed warrior. It was fairly fun as well.

I have never played Diablo myself, but from watching your gameplay it kind of reminds me of Torchlight II.
But I'm very uneducated when it comes to games anyways, I only play Counter-Strike my whole life :D

I'm really excited to see this kind of gameplays because my pc doesn't meet the requirements to live the experience myself, although we are working on that hehe, on the other hand, I find interesting this kind of RPG games and their variants, so surely at some point I will play one of the diablo saga that I can run on my device. Good gameplay my friend

I don't really understand much of what you have to do, but I always enjoy a good gameplay in high definition, that's the best, see the gameplay with total fluidity and with a pretty sharp view.
It is very insane the amount of beasts and demons that you face, there are untold hordes of demons that you have to face, but as I understood it is because of the difficulty level, you go to the extreme, as in any game of this genre I guess all that gives you much more experience and allows you to level up much faster.
I've seen you play for quite a while and it was entertaining, even though you don't upload gameplay very often, it's always entertaining to see you play a bit when you bring them up.

I am going to be real I really to like how these kinds of games look but I have never played any as they just seem too complicated 😂 so many things going on and off the screen, seems hard to keep track. But at least seems like you enjoyed it!!

I can't help but watch the video and think back to those days when I played Diablo I on that old computer, there were even times when I was scared of the game. Good games stand the test of time and evolve with technology.
I recently made a game on starknet, but got stuck in Second Life.
Man, I have such good memories of Diablo 1 & 2... but I could not do it anymore.
