I remember being pretty happy with all the referenced moments with how I had grown up with Nintendo (the medley at the end was truly something), but then being left with a weird taste of mouth after the whole discussion regarding whether the movie should be considered good or bad because of what is there below the smoke and mirrors and references...even immediately after I left the theater when watched it as one of who was watching it with us started talking about it (it was funny at the moment but now it feels so strange to have been hit with that frame 1).
I can say for sure I really enjoyed the movie when being there in the big screen and with a bunch of friends; just that it might probably be "less special" after that first impression and whenever I watch it again on the TV instead. Goofy fun moments will probably stay goofy though 😂
